Concert Choir will meet from 2:30PM – 3:45PM on Thursdays at the First Baptist Church’s Outreach Warehouse in Starkville. SHMC Concert Choir students (7th-12th grade) can expect a multifaceted educational experience as they prepare for our semester showcase and various local performances. They are exposed to a variety of traditional choir music and are taught four-part harmonization, ear training, music history and terminology, and performance techniques while they enjoy the musical fellowship and community that often develops into lasting friendships. Our primary goal of instruction reaches beyond musicianship. We hope that students of the SHMC Concert Choir will be inspired toward excellence in all endeavors.
